INLAND WATERS OIL SPILL RESPONSE COURSE

The Oil Pollution Act of 1990 and OSHA 1910.120 (q) (6) (iii) - HAZWOPER Compliance -
 Hazardous Materials Technician Level for Oil/Petroleum Products Spill Response - 
5 Days/45 Hours

This Course teaches the skills required to Properly Plan For, Respond To, Manage and Clean Up Oil/Petroleum Products Spills which occur in Inland Fast Waters and on Land.

Emphasis is placed on ICS Team Building, the Safe Selection and Implementation of Appropriate Response Techniques, Strategies and Utilization of Oil Spill Equipment, Materials, and Manpower, Spill Containment, Recovery and Cleanup in Fast Rivers, Streams, Ditches, Lakes, Ponds, and on Land.

45 Hours of Classroom Instruction and "Hands-on" Exercises are conducted over 5 Days.  Training culminates in a Full Scale Oil/Petroleum Products Response Exercise.

This Course is offered as both an Open Enrollment and Company Specific Course.
